Our approach

We’ve put lots of practical measures in place across our properties to make sure your home is a safe and secure place to live whilst ensuring we help protect our residents and staff.

We have made changes to our properties which mean things may be slightly different to what you expected. We want you to feel at home and we hope these changes mean you feel reassured that we’re doing all we can to provide you with a maintained, safe and secure home.

We've produced a guide (PDF 2.3MB) which details the adjustments we’ve made across Sanctuary Addenbrooke’s.

If you are a new tenant moving in:

We look forward to welcoming you to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.

Please be aware that we provide shared accommodation and it is vital that you follow Government guidance for the safety of yourself and others in the accommodation.

If you are travelling from outside the UK please read the Government guidelines on entering the UK for information on travellers exempt from border rules in England and Northern Ireland as well as the guidance on how to travel to the place where you are self isolating and how to self isolate in your accommodation.

You need to let us know if you are self isolating or if you start to show symptoms of Covid-19 to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and other residents. We will ask you to complete a short survey on your arrival.

We will ask you to sign your contract, complete relevant paperwork and make payment online before you arrive. Key collection will be from our office at Grantchester House (unless otherwise advised). Please follow social distancing and maintain a safe distance from our teams when you visit the office.

If you are a current tenant:

Please be assured that we are following Government guidance at all times and have taken the necessary steps to protect our tenants and staff while continuing to provide you with a maintained, safe and secure home.

If you have vacant room in your flat, a new tenant may move in. Please ensure the communal areas are kept clean and tidy and there is space in the fridge freezer and kitchen cupboards for their arrival.

We are unable to hold empty rooms due to the high demand for accommodation at the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. All new tenants are provided with links to the Government guidance which includes information on steps to take to reduce any risks of spreading Covid-19 if they are travelling from aboard such as steps to maintain social distancing, washing hands and keeping good hygiene

We may need to give contractors access to the flat to carry out emergency repairs or compulsory compliance checks. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines. We will notify you if we require access to your property.
